ConfigLatch Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how ZULIC STUDIO handles information in connection with ConfigLatch, its website, support services and optional feedback features.

ConfigLatch v0.23.1 is a local-first Windows desktop application. Hosted Team Workspace is not active in this release.

1. Information ConfigLatch processes

Depending on how you use ConfigLatch, the application may process:

Roblox account identity information supplied through Roblox OAuth.
Roblox user and authorised experience identifiers.
Experience names and Universe identifiers.
Roblox Experience Config names, values and related live state.
Prepared changes and Saved Releases.
Safeguards, local roles and approval settings.
Release notes, verification results and activity records.
ConfigLatch version, compatibility status and installation identifier.
Technical diagnostics included in an optional feedback or support submission.
Your name, email address and message if you contact ZULIC STUDIO.

ConfigLatch does not request or store your Roblox password or customer API key.

2. Roblox authentication

ConfigLatch connects using official Roblox OAuth and Open Cloud.

Roblox controls the authentication process and the permissions granted to ConfigLatch. Roblox permissions remain the final authority.

OAuth tokens are protected using Windows security facilities associated with the current Windows user. You are responsible for protecting access to your Windows account and device.

You may disconnect ConfigLatch and revoke applicable access through Roblox.

3. Local storage

The current ConfigLatch release stores operational information locally on your Windows device.

Local information may include:

Saved Roblox experience profiles.
Experience identifiers and display names.
Prepared changes and Saved Releases.
Config safeguards and dependencies.
Local role and approval settings.
Compatibility information.
Activity and release-history records.
Application preferences.

This information is not automatically uploaded to a hosted ConfigLatch Team Workspace because hosted Team Workspace is not active in this release.

4. Why information is processed

ConfigLatch processes information only where reasonably necessary to:

Connect to authorised Roblox accounts and experiences.
Read and display authoritative Experience Config state.
Prepare, review, approve, publish and verify Config changes.
Apply safeguards and compatibility controls.
Maintain Saved Releases and rollback preparation.
Record accountable local activity history.
Diagnose technical problems.
Respond to support, privacy and security enquiries.
Maintain the safety, compatibility and integrity of ConfigLatch.
Comply with applicable legal and platform obligations.

5. Feedback and support

Submitting feedback or a support request is optional.

If you submit feedback, ConfigLatch or the ConfigLatch website may send ZULIC STUDIO:

Your description of the issue.
Contact information you provide.
ConfigLatch and Windows version information.
Installation and compatibility identifiers.
The operation being performed.
Selected non-secret diagnostic information.
A screenshot or attachment you deliberately include.

Review information before submitting it.

Never include Roblox passwords, OAuth tokens, API keys, confidential Experience Config values or information you are not authorised to disclose.

6. How information may be shared

ZULIC STUDIO does not sell personal information.

Information may be disclosed only:

To service providers reasonably required to operate the website, Microsoft Store distribution, support, feedback, security or compatibility services.
To Microsoft or Roblox where required for the applicable service or investigation.
Where required or authorised by law.
To protect users, accounts, ZULIC STUDIO, Roblox, Microsoft or the public from fraud, abuse, security threats or unlawful activity.
With your consent.

Service providers may process information in Australia or other countries where they operate. The countries involved may depend on the services used at the time of collection.

7. Data minimisation

ConfigLatch is designed to request and process only the Roblox permissions and information needed for its stated functions.

ConfigLatch does not use Roblox information for advertising, unrelated user profiling or the sale of personal information.

ConfigLatch does not combine Roblox information with unrelated third-party information to identify or track Roblox users.

8. Retention

Operational ConfigLatch data remains locally stored until it is removed through the application, removed from the Windows device or otherwise deleted by the user.

Support, feedback and security records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Respond to the request.
Investigate technical or security issues.
Improve ConfigLatch.
Meet legal, accounting or platform obligations.
Prevent abuse or repeated security incidents.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted or de-identified where practical and legally permitted.

9. Security

ZULIC STUDIO uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information.

These include local-first storage, Windows protection for sensitive OAuth material, minimal permission requests, compatibility controls, fail-safe write restrictions and tamper-evident local activity records.

No application, device, network or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to:

Access personal information held about you by ZULIC STUDIO.
Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Delete information where ZULIC STUDIO is not required to retain it.
Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
Make a privacy complaint.

Local ConfigLatch data is primarily under your control on your Windows device.

11. Privacy complaints

If you believe your information has been mishandled, email:

Please describe the issue and provide enough non-secret information for it to be investigated.

ZULIC STUDIO will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or another applicable privacy regulator.

12. Children

ConfigLatch is a professional creator and studio workflow tool. It is not designed as a consumer service for children.

A person who is not legally able to manage the relevant Roblox experience or agree to applicable terms must use ConfigLatch only with appropriate authorisation and supervision.

13. Third-party services

ConfigLatch depends on third-party services including Windows, Microsoft Store, Roblox OAuth and Roblox Open Cloud.

Those services process information under their own privacy policies and terms. ZULIC STUDIO does not control their independent privacy practices.

14. Changes to this Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice may be updated when ConfigLatch features, information handling, service providers, applicable laws or platform requirements change.

The revised notice will display an updated date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably required.

15. Roblox independence statement

ConfigLatch is an independent creator tool.

ConfigLatch and ZULIC STUDIO are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation.

Roblox is not responsible for ConfigLatch privacy, maintenance, support or operation.
